Q: What is the enrollment procedure?
First make sure to call us and schedule a tour of our facility! Then, we can make sure to have you sign all of the appropriate forms and submit your enrollment deposit. We will then begin a trial week in which the child comes part time to get them accustomed to the environment and teachers, and if everything goes well, we will begin on a normal schedule!
Q: What is the youngest age that is accepted at your day care?
Our ages begin at 6 weeks ( 1 1/2 months old) to 10 years of age.
Q: What will be the provided food that my child will eat in a day?
We only provide healthy snacks such as fresh fruits, milk, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and steamed vegetables. All parents are expected to provide their own meals. We also must be notified of any allergies of the child.
Q: Where and when would my child sleep?
Children sleep inside the main house between 12:30 - 2. It is a quiet environment in which calming music is played, located away from any children that are awake/eating/ or awaiting pick up.
Q: What time is pick-up and drop-off?
For full-time care, drop off begins at 8:00AM, pick up can be any time before 5:00PM . Other program's hours can be found on our programs page. Late pick-up is prohibited and subject to late fee unless with advance notice.
Q: What is the procedure when my child is sick?
If they show symptoms of illness while in our care, we will contact the parents for an immediate pick up, until then the child will remain under supervision separate from the other children. If they have had a fever prior to coming to day care they must remain at home. We cannot administer any medications. COVID illnesses will be handled according to CDC and local guidelines.
Q: Do we still pay when our child is sick?
A full time child has 5 days a year unpaid vacation days. These days can be used either consecutively or on separate occasions.
Q: Do we pay for holidays/vacations/closed days?
Yes. Parents will be notified of all holidays/closed days ahead of time. For vacations, a full time child has 5 days unpaid should they exceed this amount, the days are paid.
Q: What is needed to start my child? Is there a trial period?
We need the filled out licensing paperwork, immunization records, and signed agreement. In addition we require extra clothing, baby wipes, any formula or breast milk, and any pacifiers/teddy bears/blankets/etc. the child is attached to. The trial period is one week and the owner has the discretion to accept or refuse a child based on if the environment is a fit for the child.
Q: Is the deposit refundable?
The two-weeks deposit funds the last two weeks given that the child has been in our care for a year.
Q: How many children do you have?
It varies all of the time, however our license capacity is twelve kids.
Q: What is the difference between an infant and a toddler?
An infant is a child under 2 years old, according to the licensing definition.
